Krishna had saved Arjuna from Ashwsena is an interpolation as per BORI CE.
Yes it is true that according to KMG Mb, Lord Krishna saved Arjuna from Ashwsena of Karna because in any other version, Krishna had presssed down the chariot of Arjuna after the release of Ashwsena but the critical edition says that Krishna had presssed down the chariot before the release of Ashwsena so simply Karna missed the target due to his own fault. see it
I am breaking the narrative of Arjuna-Ashwsena incident into many parts to analyze the action of Lord Krishna.
BORI CE, KARNA PARVA-66
[[Narr:- On seeing that Vaikartana had affixed that arrow, the great-souled king of Madra said, ‘O Karna! This arrow will not be able to reach his neck. Fix and aim another arrow that can sever his head.’]]
EXPLANATION:- Here Shalya warned Karna that your arrow will not be able to reach Arjuna's neck.
[[Narr:- With eyes that were red with rage, Karna affixed that arrow and told Shalya, ‘O Shalya! Karna will not affix a second arrow. Someone like me does not engage in deceit.’]]
EXPLANATION:- Karna ignored Shalya's words and affixed his arrow
[[Narr:- Having said this, he released that arrow, the serpent which he had worshipped for many years. He said, ‘O Phalguna! You have been slain,’ and swiftly shot the arrow.]]
EXPLANATION:- In above part, Karna released Ashwsena but nowhere is it written that Krishna pressed down his chariot after the release of Ashwsena. So now question arises that if Krishna did not press down his chariot after the release of Ashwsena then when he did? Now see the next part to know the truth/mystery.
[[Narr:- On seeing that Karna had affixed the serpent, Madhava, supreme among strong ones, used his strength to press down on the chariot with his feet. The chariot sank down on the ground and the horses sank down on their knees.]]
EXPLANATION:- Above narrative says that Krishna pressed down his chariot, when Karna had affixed his arrow.
Act of affix comes before the act of release,it means Krishna had already done his action before the release of serpent. Karna should have changed his target before releasing the serpent but he did not do and missed the target due to lack of concentration.
It is said that history is always written in favor of winners. Fake defeats of Karna which never happened are the best examples of this. Arjun fans can't digest Arjun was defeated by ordinary Robbers, demon Nikumbha, Karna, Foot soldiers, and Drona. Hence just like typical loser quoted lines of Ved Vyas. Now, I shall post confession of same Ved Vyas to prove Karna was an UNDEFEATED warrior of Mahabharat

1) ACCORDING TO SAGE VED VYASSA, ARJUN NEVER DEFEATED KARNA IN HIS LIFE
PASSAGE-1 : (Drona Parv)
Indeed, Karna had kept his dart, desirous of slaying Savyasachin, O bull of Bharata's race, by good luck, JISHNU DID NOT ENGAGE IN SINGLE COMBAT with Karna."
PASSAGE-2 : (Virat Parv)
the mighty-armed Dhananjaya, that conqueror of foes, leaving Drona's son, all on a sudden rushed towards Karna. And rushing towards Karna, with eyes reddened in anger the son of Kunti, desirous of a SINGLE COMBAT with him, said these words."
[ Hereafter Ghatotkacha-vadha on the 14th night, sage Vyasa himself accepted Arjuna/Jishnu didn't fight a single combat/duel against Karna after Karna had got Indra's dart (Vasavi Shakti). Karna got Vasavi Shakti in Vana Parva, whereas the Virata war took place in Virata Parva. But as per Vyasa, before Ghatotkacha-vadha, Karna and Arjuna never fought a duel. (As per interpolation fight in Virat Parv, that duel was Single combat). Then when there was no fighting, how did Karna get defeated ?? LOL ]
Source: KMG ver defeated confessed by Yudhishthira)as no fight between Karna & Arjuna]
Where did Vyasa say in the above narrative that Karna is an undefeated warrior? Are you not capable to read simple english?
DeleteMoreover you posted the half narrative, see the full narrative below. Vyasa clearly said that they both have fought with each other
Narr:- Vyasa said, "By good luck, Phalguna liveth still although he had encountered Karna in battle. Indeed, Karna had kept his dart, desirous of slaying Savyasachin, O bull of Bharata's race, by good luck Jishnu did not engage in single combat with Karna.

Lol this bhutta bhakt can't digest the fact that Arjuna won fair and square 😂😂😂
Delete(PROOFS) - that proves Karna never engaged in single combat with Arjun till 16 day
ReplyDeleteAt the time of the battle, however, we forget our resolution. Kesava always protected Arjuna, the son of Kunti. He NEVER PLACED Arjuna before the Suta's son in battle.
1ST-
Tell me, O Sanjaya, why DID NOT Vrisha then ENGAGING Phalguna in single combat, slay the latter with that dart given him by Sakra?
2ND-
At the time of the battle, however, we forget our resolution. Kesava always protected Arjuna, the son of Kunti. He NEVER PLACED Arjuna before the Suta's son in battle.
VED VYASS CALLED ARJUNA INFERIOR TO KARNA, ASHWATTHAMA & KRIPA
O Arjuna, than the divine Maheswara, that foremost of all bowmen, that Deity of divine form, could even in imagination venture to vanquish that force which was protected by those great smiters and bowmen, viz., Aswatthaman and Karna and Kripa?

Where did Vyasa say in the above narrative that Arjuna is inferior to karna?
DeleteVyasa was taking about an unknown battle, where Shuva was helping Arjuna to defeated Kauravas army which were protected by Karna, drona and kripa
It was just for one battle
Correction:- Shiva* was helping Arjuna to defeat* Kauravas army
Delete2) KUNTI ALSO ACCEPTED KARNA WAS UNDEFEATED WARRIOR - (Stri Parv)
ReplyDeletewho looked resplendent as he commanded the vast force of the Duryodhana, who had NO EQUAL on earth for energy, that hero who preferred glory to life, that firm in truth and never fatigued with exertion, was your eldest brother.

( As per Dhritrashtra, Karna was undefeated)
------------------------------------------
4) DHRITARASHTRA AGAIN ACCEPTED KARNA WAS NEVER DEFEATED BY ANYONE-(Karna Parva)
Thinking that other creatures also, as unslayable as Karna, would meet with a similar fate, king Dhritarashtra the son of Ambika, scorched with grief and sighing like a snake, with limbs almost palsied, long breaths, highly cheerless, and filled with melancholy, began to lament, saying, 'Oh!' and 'Alas!' And the king said, 'O Sanjaya, the heroic son of Adhiratha was endued with the prowess of the lion or the elephant! His neck was as thick as that of a bull, and his eyes, gait, and voice were like the bull's! Of limbs as hard as the thunderbolt, that young man, like a bull, never flying away from a bull, never DESISTED FROM BATTLE even if his foe happened to be the great Indra himself!
(Dhritrashtra again called Karna undefeated)
5) YUDHISTIRA ALSO ACCEPTED KARNA WAS NEVER DEFEATED BY ANYONE - (Karn Parv)

6) YUDHISTIRA AGAIN ACCEPTED KARNA WAS NEVER DEFEATED BY ANYONE - (Ashwamedha Parv)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7) YUDHISTIRA AGAIN ADMITTED KARNA WAS UNDEFEATED - (Sauptika Parv)
Alas, through heedlessness have they been slain that had escaped from even Karna, that warrior who had barbed arrows and nalikas for his teeth, the sword for his tongue, the bow for his gaping mouth, and the twang of the bowstring and the sound of palms for his roars--that angry Karna who , and who was a very lion among men!
(Again Karna was undefeated as per Yudhishthira)

Delete8) YUDHISTIRA ADMITTED KARNA WAS NEVER DEFEATED BY ANYONE - (Shanti Parv)
ReplyDeleteI caused also my eldest brother Karna to be slain, that terrible warrior who NEVER RETREATED FROM BATTLE. Who is there more sinful than I?
(Karna was never defeated confessed by Yudhishthira)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9) KUNTI AGAIN ACCEPTED KARNA WAS UNDEFEATED WARRIOR - (Aswamedha Parv)
Thou shouldst always bear in mind Karna who NEVER RETREATED from battle. Through my folly, that hero has been slain in the field of battle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10 ) SANJAYA ACCEPTED THAT KARNA WAS NEVER DEFEATED BY ANYONE-(Drona Parva)
the mighty and light-handed Karna, NEVER VANQUISHED in battle, O bull of Bharata's race, began, with clouds of shafts, to resist that force on all sides
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11) SANJAYA AGAIN ADMITTED KARNA AS UNDEFEATED WARRIOR
DeleteIndeed, thinking of the slaughter of the youthful Abhimanyu on the field of battle, of the mighty-armed KARNA WHO NEVER RETREATED FROM THE FRAY, of the sons of Draupadi, and of other friends of theirs, those heroes became exceedingly cheerless

Here the word Single-Combat is reffered to death battle.
ReplyDeleteKarna did not fought any of his battle against till his death, whenever Arjuna started to use Karna for his archery practice, the latter always fled from battle
Cotrection:- Against Arjuna* till
