MISCONCEPTION : KARNA DEFEATED BHAGADATTA

It is a very common misconception among many people that Karna had defeated Bhagadatta in his conquest. Well KMG did mention Karna defeating Bhagadatta in his conquest but according to most researched version that is BORI Karna defeating Bhagadatta is an interpolation. Yes, you heard it right that according to BORI Karna never defeated Bhagadatta and in his life.
In KMG there are two narratives which are used by Karna fans to prove that Karna had defeated Bhagadatta in his conquest. The first narrative is of the Vana Parva where the Digvijaya of Karna is described. But according to BORI the whole description of Digvijaya of Karna is an interpolation.BORI clearly removed that section where the Digvijaya of Karna is described. Here is the second narrative ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
Narrative :- O Karna, vanquish the Kamvojas having proceeded to Rajpura. Many kings, amongst whom Nagnajit was the foremost, while staying in Girivraja, as also the Amvashthas, the Videhas, and the Gandharvas, were all vanquished by thee. The Kiratas, fierce in battle, dwelling in the fastness of Himavat, were formerly, O Karna, made by thee to own Duryodhana's sway.

Here it is written that Karna had conquered Kiratas and Bhagadatta was a ruler of Kiratas.Guys it is true that Bhagadatta was the ruler of Kiratas but there were multiple Kiratas that time.
BHIMA HAD CONQUERED KIRATAS IN HIS RAJSUYA CONQUEST ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
Narrative :- And the son of Pandu, sending forth expeditions from Videha, conquered the seven kings of the Kiratas living about the Indra mountain.
Here, Bhima also conquered Kiratas in his Rajsuya conquest
ARJUNA FOUGHT WITH THE RULER OF KIRATAS ON 14TH DAY ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
Narrative :- the king of the Kiratas, desirous of his life, had formerly presented to Savyasachin together with many servants in their train. These, O king, were formerly employed in doing thy business. Behold the vicissitudes that time brings about, for these are now battling against thee. Those elephants are ridden by Kiratas difficult of defeat in battle. They are accomplished in fighting from elephants, and are all sprung from the race of Agni. Formerly, they were all vanquished in battle by Savyasachin. They are now waiting for me carefully, under the orders of Duryodhana. Slaying with my shafts, O king, these Kiratas difficult of defeat in battle,

Here Arjuna also fought the ruler of Kiratas. So as you all can see Bhagadatta was not the only ruler of Kiratas that time. Hence, Karna conquering Kiratas doesn't prove that he defeated Bhagadatt
EXPOSING THE FUNNY LOGIC GIVEN BY THE ADMIN OF KARNA FAN PAGE ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
Comedian admin of Karna fan page has claimed Karna has defeated Bhagadatta as it is written that Karna had conquered those Kiratas which were near Himalaya.First of all nowhere it is that Bhagadatta was the ruler of those Kiratas which were near Himalaya and secondly there were many Kings who ruled Kiratas near Himalaya ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
Narrative :- Then all those warriors having in due course happily lived at Badari for one month, proceeded towards the realm of Suvahu, king of the Kiratas, by following the same track by which they had come. And crossing the difficult Himalayan regions,
According to Karna fans this point doesn't make any sense because it is from KMG so I am giving the same narrative from Bibek Debroy translation of BORI CE ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
VANA PARVA -Section 174
Narr:- ‘Having spent a happy month in Badari, in due course, they went to the land of Subahu, the
king of the kiratas, following the route that other brave ones had traversed earlier. They
passed the lands of chinas,11 tukharas,12 daradas,13 darvas14 and kunindas15 full of many
jewels. The brave ones crossed the difficult terrain of the Himalaya region and saw Subahu’s
city. When he heard that all the sons and grandsons of kings had arrived, King Subahu was
delighted and came out to welcome them
Here, it is clearly written that Pandavas visited King Suvahu who was also a Kirata King near Himalaya. And the most important fact is when Arjuna defeated Bhagadatta then it is clearly because he really defeated him then why it is not mentioned in the case of Karna ? Because Karna never conquered Bhagadatta.
The second foolish logic given by Karna fan page admin is Bhagadatta was defeated by Jarasandha and Karna overpowered Jarasandha so Karna is superior to Bhagadatta. And to prove this foolish claim he has used a narrative where it is written that Bhagadatta bowed down before Jarasandha so Bhagadatta was defeated by Jarasandha.Guys, bowing down to someone means to show your respect towards that particular person and it doesn't mean that you are defeated by him or he is superior to you.It is nothing but a stupid hypothesis of Karna fans that Bhagadatta was defeated by Jarasandha.Even nowhere it is written that Karna defeated Jarasandha or Karna was superior to Jarasandha.Jarasandha was just pleased with Karna.Nowhere it is written that Karna defeated Jarasandha or Jarasandha defeated Bhagadatta.
Conclusion :- Karna never defeated Bhagadatta

ARJUNA - THE IDEAL WARRIOR

As we all know that Mahabharata describes Arjuna as the greatest archer and warrior of all the time. I had already posted about the supernatural archery skills of Arjuna and in this post I am posting the proofs of Arjuna being the all rounder warrior.
Here's the link of Arjuna being the greatest archer post-
This thread is divided in three parts -
1). Description of science of arms
2). Description of Arjuna being the all rounder warrior
3). Arjuna having the knowledge of all kinds of weapons
1). DESCRIPTION OF SCIENCE OF ARMS ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
The science of arms (Dhanurved) classes arms under four heads, viz ., Mukta, Amukta ,
Muktamukta , and Yantramukta . A Mukta weapon is one that is hurled from the hand, as a discus. An
Amukta is not hurled from the hand, as a sword. A
Muktamukta is one that is sometimes hurled and sometimes not, as a mace. A Yantramukta is one shot from a machine, as an arrow or a ball. All Mukta weapons are Astras, while all Amukta ones are called sastras.
There are four kinds of weapons -
1). Mukta weapons ( weapons which can be hurled by hands such as discus, dart and other things such as trees and stones)
2). Amukta weapons ( weapons which cannot be hurled by hands such as sword, noose and bow)
3). Muktamukta weapons ( weapons which can be sometimes hurled and sometimes cannot be hurled by hands like mace, lance and spear )
4). Yantramukta weapons ( weapons which can be hurled only by a machine like arrows or ball )
2). DESCRIPTION OF ARJUNA BEING THE ALL ROUNDER WARRIOR ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
1st time -
Accomplished in all weapons, Arjuna became the foremost of even the foremost of car-warriors; and his fame spread all over the earth to the verge of the sea. And although the instruction was the same, the mighty Arjuna excelled all (the princes in lightness of hand). Indeed, in weapons as in devotion to his preceptor, he became the foremost of them all.
2nd time -
Arjuna is possessed of such patience, and such honesty. He is, besides, conversant with every weapon
3rd time -
Thou however, O Shalya, hast no ocular proof of those matters. I shall fearlessly fight with the two Krishnas, those two foremost of all wielders of weapons.
4th time -
Thereupon, Vibhatsu, that foremost of all wielders of weapons, quickly rushed against Drona, shooting arrows capable of baffling the force of counter arrows, shot at him.
3). ARJUNA HAVING THE KNOWLEDGE OF ALL KINDS OF WEAPONS ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡
A). Mace,sword,lance,spear and dart -
"Vaisampayana continued, 'Thereafter Drona began to teach Arjuna the art of fighting on horse-back, on the back of elephants, on car, and on the ground. And the mighty Drona also instructed Arjuna in fighting with the mace, the sword, the lance, the spear, and the dart. And he also instructed him in using many weapons and fighting with many men at the same time. And hearing reports of his skill, kings and princes, desirous of learning the science of arms, flocked to Drona by thousands.
B). Kshura,Naracha,Vala and Vipatha weapons -
And Arjuna became celebrated for the firmness of his grasp (of weapons), for his lightness of motion, precision of aim, and his proficiency in the use of the Kshura, Naracha, Vala and Vipatha weapons, indeed, of all weapons, whether straight or crooked or heavy.
C). Bow -
In this manner, O sinless one, Arjuna showed his profound skill in the use of sword, bow, and mace, walking over the lists in circles.
D). Vajras and dandas
And, O Yudhishthira, Arjuna of immeasurable prowess hath also acquired Vajras and Dandas
E). Noose -
O thou of large coppery eyes, behold me! I am Varuna, the lord of waters. Hurled by me, my nooses are incapable of being resisted. O son of Kunti, accept of me these Varuna weapons along with the mysteries of hurling and withdrawing them.
F). Trees and stones -
Phalguna then commenced the conflict with trees and stones. The illustrious god in the form of the huge-bodied Kirata, however, bore that shower of trees and rocks with patience.
G). Arrows -
Meantime, stringing his large bow anew, Partha, that foremost of all persons conversant with arms, getting the better of his preceptor, quickly shot six hundred arrows as if he had taken and shot only one arrow.
H). Shafts -
Arjuna then with sharp shafts cut off the steeds and driver and bow and umbrella and standard and car of Vrishaka, the son of Suvala, into atoms.
I). Use of bare body parts
Vaisampayana continued, 'Hearing these words of the ascetics, that foremost of men endued with mighty arms, though dissuaded by them went to behold those waters. Arrived at the excellent sacred water called Saubhadra after a great Rishi, the brave scorcher of all foes suddenly plunged into it to have a bath. As soon as that tiger among men had plunged into the water a great crocodile (that was in it) seized him by the leg. But the strong-armed Dhananjaya the son of Kunti, that foremost of all men endued with might, seized that struggling ranger of the water and dragged it forcibly to the shore. But dragged by the renowned Arjuna to the land, that crocodile became (transformed into) a beautiful damsel bedecked with ornament.
Conclusion :- Arjuna was a perfect warrior of all the time
