MISCONCEPTION:- KARNA WAS NOT DEFEATED BY ARJUNA IN DRAUPADI SWAYMWARA BATTLE

It seems that Karna fans are living in a delusion world thats why they are claiming that their idol did not flee from Arjuna in the battle of Draupadi Swayamwara but alright guys i am going to expose their lie and will crush them very badly.

Before exposing their propaganda, I want to narrate that why did Arjuna and Karna both fought with each other there.

1)Suta bhai went to Swyamwara to win the hands of Draupadi

2) But he failed to string the bow and got defeated in the task

3) When everyone failed to string the bow then Arjuna participated in swyamwara and won the hands of Draupadi

4) All the kings including Karna failed to digest this and tried to burn Draupadi as well as king Drupada

Note:- They did not try to kill any of Brahmanas at this time because they (Brahmanas) were not engaged with them till that time and killing a brahmana is a sin if he is not engaged in a battle

5) But after that Arjuna, Bhima and other Brahmanas interfered between them and started to protect Druapada and Draupadi from those kings, which means that they engaged themselves with those kings in battle

6) Now those Kings had every right to kill those Brahmanas

THOSE KINGS ALSO SAID THAT KILLING A BRAHMANA IS PERMISSIBLE IN THE BATTLE

BORI CE,ADI PARVA-181

Having said this, the maharatha took up the bow he had obtained as dowry and accompanied by his brother Bhima stood there like an immovable mountain. Seeing the Kshatriyas, with Karna leading them, furious to do battle, they fell upon them, like two elephants against hostile elephants. Eager to fight, those kings then said, “IT IS PERMISSIBLE TO KILL A BRAHMANA WHO IS WILLING TO FIGHT.

NOW THE FIGHT STARTS FROM HERE

1) KARNA RUSHED TOWARDS ARJUNA TO FIGHT WITH HIM

Then the mighty Vaikartana Karna rushed at Arjuna, eager to fight, like an elephant rushes at a rival over a female elephant. Shalya, king of the Madras, rushed at Bhimasena. Duryodhana and the others rushed at the Brahmanas, but they fought with them lightly and carelessly.

POINTS TO BE NOTED FROM THE ABOVE NARRATIVE

a) Karna attacked Arjuna

b) Shalya attacked Bhima

c) Duryodhana and other Kshtriyas attacked ordinary Brahmanas but they fought with those ordinary Brahmanas lightly.

2)ARJUNA AND KARNA BOTH STARTED TO FIGHT WITH EACH
OTHER

‘Seeing Vaikartana Karna rush towards him, the wise Arjuna stretched his mighty bow and pierced him with three arrows. The impact of these sharp arrows stunned Radheya and he approached with greater circumspection. Then those two invincible warriors fought violently,

POINTS TO BE NOTED FROM THE ABOVE NARRATIVE

a) Arjuna pierced Karna with three arrows and made him half unconscious

b) Both were fighting violently with each other

3)ARJUNA PROVED HIS SUPERIORTY OVER KARNA

Seeing the valour in Arjuna’s arms, unparalleled on earth, Vaikartana Karna fought even more vigorously. Repulsing Arjuna’s swift arrows, Karna shouted out aloud and the warriors applauded his feat.

POINTS TO BE NOTED FROM THE ABOVE NARRATIVE

a) Karna saw that Arjuna's valour is unparalleled on earth, which means it was Arjuna who was dominating over Karna in that battle

b) Karna fought even more vigorously but nowhere written that Arjuna also fought more vigorously, which implies that Arjuna was not using his full strength

c)Karna then countered Arjuna's weapons and some warriors praised Karna for that.

Countering the weapons of his enemy is not a big feat but when you counter the weapons of your superior opponent then it is indeed a great feat thats why some warrior praised Karna for countering Arjuna's weapons

For example, Aswthama only countered Arjuna, although it is clear that it was Arjuna who was dominating over Aswthama still some warriors praised Aswthama because countering superior warrior is itself a big feat

BORI CE, BHISMA PARVA-69

They were terrible and were capable of robbing one of one’s life. In
that encounter, he swiftly pierced Drona’s son, supreme among strong ones, with these. In that battle, they pierced through his armour and drank up his blood. But though pierced by the wielder of Gandiva, Drona’s son was not distressed. Without being perturbed, he showered back arrows in return. O king! In that battle, he wished to protect the one who was great in his vows. The bulls among men applauded this great deed of his, of being able to counter the two Krishnas together

4)KARNA PRAISED ARJUNA AND COMPARED HIM WITH PARSHURAMA, LORD INDRA AND LORD VISHNU

‘Karna said, “O foremost among Brahmanas! I am pleased with the strength of your arms, which do not tire in battle, and with your persistent control over weapons. O supreme among Brahmanas! Are you Rama, the personification of the knowledge of weapons? Or are you
Harihaya himself? Or are you Achyuta Vishnu himself? Have you assumed the form of a Brahmana to disguise yourself and are now fighting strongly with me for self-preservation, mustering the strength of your arms? When I am angry in the field of battle, no one except Shachi’s husband and Pandava Kiriti can withstand me.

5) ARJUNA GAVE THE BEFITTING REPLY TO KARNA

Phalguni replied, “O Karna! I am not the science of weapons personified. Nor am I the powerful Rama. I am only a Brahmana, chief among warriors and supreme among those who have the knowledge of weapons. Through my preceptor’s grace, I have become skilled in the use of brahma and paurandara39 weapons. O warrior! Wait for a bit. I stand here today, to
vanquish you in battle.”

POINTS TO BE NOTED FROM THE ABOVE NARRATIVE

a) Arjuna told Karna that he is not any of those great personalities, whose names you mentioned

b) He is only a Brahmana(not any great Person)

c) He has the knowledge of Brahma and Indra's weapons

d) He also threatened Karna that he is here to defeat you, which made Karna retreat from battle.

6) KARNA RETREATED FROM BATTLE BY THINKING THAT ARJUNA(BRAHMANA)'S STRENGTH IS INVINCIBLE

At these words, Radheya Karna withdrew from the battle, because the maharatha thought that Brahmana strength was invincible.

7) KARNA WAS IN FEAR AT THAT TIME

BORI CE, ADI PARVA-181

When Shalya was thus hurled down by Bhima and Karna
scared away, all the other kings were frightened and surrounded Vrikodara.

8) AFTER GETTING DEFEATED BY BRAHMANAS, THOSE KINGS CLAIMED THAT THEY WOULD AGAIN FIGHT WITH THEM AFTER FINDING THE REAL IDENTITIES OF BRAHMANAS BUT THEY NEVER TRIED TO FIND THE IDENTITIES OF THOSE BRAHMANAS, IT ITSELF PROVES THAT THEY RAN AWAY HERE AND THERE FROM FEAR OF BRAHMANAS

BORI CE, ADI PARVA-181

Who can fight with Radheya Karna in battle except Rama, Drona, Sharadvata
Kripa, Devaki’s son Krishna and Phalguni, the scorcher of enemies? Who can fight against Duryodhana and who can vanquish in battle the powerful Shalya, king of Madra and chief among warriors, except the brave Baladeva and Pandava Vrikodara? Therefore, let us desist from this fight against the Brahmanas. Let us find out who they are and then we will happily fight with them again

9) HERE IS THE FINAL BLOWN TO THE TOPIC, NOW SEE THE PROOF WHICH CLEARLY SAYS THAT BRAHMANAS HAD WON THAT DAY

BORI CE, ADI PARVA-181

Those who had assembled there went away,
exclaiming that the BRAHMANAS HAD WON THE DAY and Panchali had become the wife of a
Brahmana.

NOTE:- Now some blind bhaktas will claim that here word "won" is used for Swyamwara task which Arjuna had won but i am requesting them to read the narrative properly. Narrative says that BRAHMANAS won, not Brahmana

It was Brahmana(Arjuna) who won the Swaymwara, not BrahmanaS. It means that here the sentence "Brahmanas won" is used for fight, not for task.

Conclusion:- Arjuna won Draupadi by completing the task and defeating karna
