MISCONCEPTION :- KARNA DID NOT FAIL IN DRAUPADI SWAYMVARA

Bhutta fans does not dare  to accept Karna's failure in Draupadi Swyamwara. May be they don't want to digest the truth thats the reason they are living in a delusion but let's show the truth them.

FIRST OF ALL, WE WILL SEE KARNA'S FAILURE IN DRAUPADI SWAYAMVARA FROM BORI CE THEN WILL DEBUNK THEIR EXCUSES.

Dhrishtadyumna says that Karna will participate in contest for Draupadi's hand👇

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 177, Mahabharata CE from BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

Dhrishtadyumna said, “Duryodhana, Durvisaha, Durmukha, Dushpradharshana, Vivimshati, Vikarna, Saha, Duhshasana, Sama, Yuyutsu, Vatavega, Bhimavegadhara, Ugrayudha, Balaki,Kanakayu, Virochana, Sukundula, Chitrasena, Suvarcha, Kanakadhvaja, Nandaka, Bahushali, Kunduja and Vikata—these and others are the immensely powerful sons of Dhritarashtra.
These warriors have come with Karna for your hand.

Vaishampayana mentioned that all the kings failed in task👇

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 179, Mahabharata CE from BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

Vaishampayana said, ‘When all the kings gave up attempting to string the bow, the great souled Jishnu arose from among the Brahmanas.

Now if Bhutta fans say that according to the above narrative, Karna did not fail then they must have to accept that no  prominent warrior was defeated by Karna in Swayamvara of Duryodhana's wife as there is also not written clearly that Rukmi, Jarashanda and Shishupala had attacked Karna.

Now see another proof from the actual event said by the Brahmanas which clearly mentioned Karna's failure in Swaymwara.

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 179, Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

O Brahmanas! If Kshtriyas like Karna and Shalya, who are famous in the world, have great strength and are well versed in Dhanur Veda, could not string the bow, how can this weakling Brahmana, with no knowledge of weapons, succeed?

Points to be noted:-

The only Karna, who had great strength and was well versed in Dhanurveda was Radha's son (Karna) in the entire Mahabharat. Plus, no other Karna was present in Swyamwara other than this Radheya Karna so it is as clear as water that it was Radheya Karna who failed. If there was another Karna who was present in Swyamvara and he had great strength and was expert in archery then first our Bhuttas needs to show the proof other Karnas of Mahabharata being well versed in Dhanurveda, having great strength and being famous in the world along with being present in Draupadi's Swayamvara.

Excuse No. 1 :-  DHRISHTADYUMNA SAID THAT THE ONE WHO IS BORN IN NOBLE FAMILY WILL OBTAIN DRAUPADI AFTER ACHIEVING THE TASK.

Disrobing :- Well whether Karna's foster family was noble or not is not mentioned anywhere in the entire Mahabharata then I don't understand that why they are raising this point when there is nothing written about it. Btw if Adhiratha and his family were not noble then how he (Adhiratha) became a friend of King Dhristrastra ? Had Dhristrastra made a friendship with a wretch family ?

Let's keep aside all the above explanation. Most important thing is that Rules and regulation were not followed in Swayamwara, which will be discussed later.

Excuse No. 2 :- RADHEYA KARNA WAS A SUTA BUT IT WAS KSHATRIYA KARNA WHO FAILED.

Disrobing :-  Well we have already discussed that only Radheya Karna was present there among all Karnas hence it is really a laughable claim that another Karna failed. Also it doesn't matter, which castes someome belongs to. If someone is devoted to the dharma of another Varna then he can be reffered as that Varna. For eg- Ashwatthama and Drona belong to Brahmana cast but have been reffered as Kshatriyas in Chakravyuha. Similarly Karna was a suta and has been reffered as Kshatriya. See the evidance below

Drona Parva, Chapter No. 45, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

On seeing that Lakshmana had been slain, the people let out sounds of woe and lamentation. When his beloved son was brought down, Duryodhana was enraged. The bull among the kshatriyas loudly urged the Kshatriyas to kill him. Six rathas surrounded him—Drona, Kripa, Karna,
Drona’s son, Brihadbala and Kritavarma, Hridika’s son.

Let's see one more proof where all the warriors who fought in Kurukshetra War were regarded as Kshatriyas

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 01, Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

‘“Alas! I have heard that only ten people have survived this difficult war, three on our side and seven on the side of the Pandavas. In that fearful war of Kshatriyas, eighteen armies
have been slain. I see extended and extreme darkness all around me. Delusion overcomes me. O Suta! Consciousness is leaving me, my mind is delirious.”

Moreover when Bhima was telling in Rangbhumi that Karna didn't deserve to fight with Arjuna. At that time Duryodhana defends Karna and say that even the most inferior among Kshatriyas deserved to be fought with. then it is clear that here Duryodhan tried to say that Karna also belongs to Kshatriya class hence deserves to fight with Arjuna. Also you can see below that the word " warrior" have been used as a synonym of Kshatriya by Duryodhana. And we all know that Karna was a warrior(Kshatriya).

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 127, Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

“O Vrikodara! You should not speak these words. Strength is the most important virtue of Kshatriyas and even the most inferior of Kshatriyas deserves to be fought with. The sources of warriors and rivers are both the same; they are always unknown.

In Mahabharat, even the word "King" was a synonym of Kshatriya👇 and we all know that Karna was a king too so there is nothing surprising even if someone reffered Karna a Kshatriya.

Anushasana Parva, Chapter No. 49,  Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

‘Bhishma replied, “O Yudhishthira! O descendant of the Bharata lineage! The sons that a brahmana obtains through the three lower varnas, the sons that a king obtains through the two lower varnas and
the sons that a vaishya obtains through the lower varna are understood to be apadhvamsajas.

Excuse No. 3 :- THE LINE "KARNA ACCOMPANYING DURYODHANA" PROVES THAT KARNA WENT THERE JUST TO HELP DURYODHANA, NOT FOR HIMSELF.

Disrobing :- Here are some examples of people who are accompanying are also participating in the objective

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 2 (Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy)

‘Then follows the fifteenth Ashramavasika Parva. In this, abdicating the kingdom, King Dhritarashtra, accompanied by Gandhari and Vidura, retire to the forest.

‘Then follows the seventeenth Mahaprasthanika Parva. There, the Pandavas, bulls among men, accompanied by the divine Droupadi, gave up their kingdom and left for their great
journey.

According to the above narrative, Dhritarashtra gave up his kingdom and left for retirement accompanied by Gandhari and Vidura and in Ashramavasika Parva, Gandhari and Vidura also retires to the forest hence fulfils the same objective.

Similarly the narrative also mentions Pandavas accompanied by Draupadi for their retirement and in Mahaprasthanika Parva, Draupadi really retires with the Pandavas.

Hence, in Draupadi's Swayamvar Karna accompanied Kauravas and fulfilled the objective of participating in the swayamvar.

Excuse No. 4 :- THE NARRATIVE MENTIONED BELOW PROVES THAT ONLY NOBLE KINGS HAD PARTICIPATED IN THE SWYAMWARA

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 178, Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

In that assembly, those kings who boasted of noble birth then became objects of derision

Disrobing :- No where the above narrative proves that only noble kings participated. It just says that those kings who were boasting about their noble lineage became object of derision. In other words,  among all participants those who were boasting about their lineage became objects of derision.

Excuse No. 5 :- RULES AND REGULATION WERE FOLLOWED IN DRAUPADI SWYAMWARA

Disrobing :- Although it is an irrelevant excuse and doesn't matter at all as no one will be able to prove even in his/her dream that Karna couldn't participate in Swyamvara, however just for information we can see that rules and regulation were not following there, see the narrative mentioned below👇

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 180, Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

The sacred texts clearly say that a svayamvara is for Kshatriyas; Brahmanas have no right in the choice of a husband.

Here it is mentioned that a swaymwara is for Kshatriyas and the Brahmanas don't have right to participate in it but we see that Arjuna had participated in the task and no one had stopped him before winning the contest , it proves that the rules and regulations were not being followed in Draupadi Swaymvara and everyone was allowed without any restriction.

King Drupada also said that who won his Daughter, was he a Shudra, Vaishya, Kshatriya or Brahmana. It again proves that there was no restriction in Swaymvara and anyone could participate

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 184, Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

King Drupada to Dhrishtaduymna:-

The great-souled one asked Dhrishtadyumna, “Where has Krishna gone? Who has taken her away? Is it a Shudra or one of low birth? Has a Vaishya who pays taxes placed his feet on my head ? Has a garland been thrown away on a cremation ground ? O son ! Or is it a foremost man from our own varna, or is it one from a higher varna? Or has a lower being placed his foot on my head and defiled Krishna ?

Yudhishthira also mentioned before Drupada's purohits that no personal questions can be asked about the winner, not even about his lineage.

Adi Parva, Chapter No. 185, Mahabharata CE by BORI, Dr. Bibek Debroy translation

‘Yudhishthira then spoke to the Brahmana. “The king of Panchala gave his daughter away according to his wishes and according to his own dharma. He set a price and this brave one has won her in accordance with that. Therefore, no questions can be asked about his varna, action, intention, means of living, lineage or gotra. All those questions have been answered by the act of stringing the bow and striking the target.

Conclusion :- Yes It was Kshatriya Karna aka King Karna aka Radheya Karna aka Suta Karna who failed in Draupadi's Svyamwara.
